MARK THOMAS is a Deputy Head Teacher in St.Helens, Lancashire, England. His introduction to calligraphy came whilst studying for an Arts Degree at Liverpool Hope University.
Over the past twenty years Mark has taught calligraphy at art classes and has organized courses for fellow teachers and educational advisory teams aimed at introducing calligraphy into the classroom.
Mark has been a member of both The Society of Scribes and Illuminators and The Society for Italic Handwriting. He has also undertaken large commissions for companies and organizations including national exhibitions for The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.
Over the past decade, Mark has been a correspondent for 'Country Quest' magazine and has had educational work published in periodicals such as the 'Junior Education' magazine and the 'Times Educational Supplement'. |
