Author and calligrapher Mark Thomas produces a varied range of contemporary calligraphy designs which have been exhibited in a variety of galleries across the country. Most recently, his work has been shown at the Kelvin Grove Art Gallery as part of a fund-raising auction. Over the past year an increasing number of pieces have also been commissioned for the American market. All art work is original and the versitility of the lettering lends itself to a wide range of subjects - increasingly these are centred around key themes (see links), of particular popularity are designs on a sporting theme and canvases have been completed for famous sportsmen and institutions such as the Liverpool Football Club Museum. A wide range of work is permanently exhibited at the 'Galleria' Restaurant in Rainhill, Merseyside. Mark is also the author of the highly successful ' Teachers' Guide to Calligraphy'.
